How to Leave a Great First Impression?

“Try to be yourself. Don't try to be somebody else.

“You are trying to show you are very modern when you are actually conservative and vice versa. Try to be honest with yourself, with the person you are with and with that moment,” advises Sultana.

Love In The Time Of Smartphones: Good Or Bad?

“I am a bit technically challenged, but I am aware that dating apps etc are gaining ground. They have some success rate as well. If smartphones existed during the time of Romeo and Juliet perhaps it wouldn’t have turned into a tragedy. But along with these pros there are some cons too”, says Sultana.

What’s a Good Romantic Gift In Budget?

“Flowers! They are cheap in India and you can pluck them from the neighbour’s garden. Flowers are expensive abroad but in our country they are within budget. So you can give flowers and stick a romantic note with it”, advises Sultana.

How Do I Change My Parents’ Mind About Valentine’s Day?

“Most parents have little idea what Valentine’s Day is for. Some tend to misunderstand that it may encourage youngsters to elope. That’s hardly the case. Valentine’s Day is just a chance for youngsters to interact more.

“Parents have no choice but to understand where the young are going. They are happy as long as they are kept in the loop of what’s happening in their kids’ lives”, says Sultana.

How Do I Get Along With My Independent Girlfriend?

“Girls need to help boys. I am worried about the boys of this generation. Truth is they can also be vulnerable. Women of this generation are trying their best to be economically independent. She can take care of herself. She doesn't have to put up with any nonsense from her husband, boyfriend or in-laws. Few boys naturally blame the girl for not giving the same reverence that his sister or his mother gave him all his life. His wife, girlfriend or sister need to help him overcome this. That's the only way men can be liberated”, Sultana says.
