1. Priyanka Leaves Behind Deepika to Become Sexiest Asian Woman

Priyanka Chopra has been voted the “Sexiest Asian Woman” in the world.

Priyanka Chopra has been voted the “Sexiest Asian Woman” in the world in an annual UK poll released in London on Tuesday. The 35-year-old Quantico actor topped the 2017 edition of the popular ‘50 Sexiest Asian Women’ poll by London-based weekly newspaper Eastern Eye for a record-breaking fifth time.

She reclaimed the top slot from Deepika Padukone, who had been voted the sexiest Asian in 2016. Padukone is ranked third this year.

2. Family, Friends and Fans Remember Shashi Kapoor

RIP Shashi Kapoor.

A memorial service was arranged on Thursday, 7 December, at Prithvi Theatre, in honour of its patron Shashi Kapoor, who passed away on 4 December. The veteran actor established the iconic Mumbai institution in 1978 with wife Jennifer Kendal. The Kapoor family along with film and theatre celebs and fans have gathered together to pay their respects to the much loved actor-filmmaker.

3. Ranveer Singh Turns Cop for Karan Johar & Rohit Shetty’s ‘Simmba’

After much speculation, it’s finally official — Ranveer Singh is now part of a Dharma Productions project that will be directed by Rohit Shetty. The film titled Simmba, features Ranveer as a cop in the title role.

Simmba is being co-produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, Rohit Shetty’s RS Picturez and Reliance Entertainment. The film has already got a release date, which is 28 December 2018. By the looks of the poster, Ranveer’s name seems to be Sangram Bhalerao, a police officer, who goes by the nickname of Simmba.

4. Irrfan Khan Honoured at Dubai International Film Festival

The 14th Dubai International Film Festival kicked off on December 6 at the Madinat Jumeirah hotel complex. Boasting 140 films from 51 nations, the fest has a strong Indian and South Asian presence. After winning the Best Actor Award at Star Screen Awards, the unstoppable Irrfan Khan who does not blend in but stands out in Bollywood for all his unconventional choices, and who has also made a mark internationally bagged an honorary award at the opening gala night for his "incredible body of work".

5. ‘Mukkabaaz’ Trailer: Hard Punches & a Scary Jimmy Sheirgill

Anurag Kashyap is back — this time with a gritty boxing drama set in a corrupt and casteist Uttar Pradesh. The just released trailer of Mukkabaaz traces the story of Shravan, a low-caste boxer who takes on a ruthless and high-caste local boxing association member who wants to destroy his career. Things go further south when he falls in love with his nemesis’ niece.
