Daler Mehndi on Mika Singh’s Sexual Misconduct Case in Dubai

Singer Mika Singh was detained in United Arab Emirates (UAE) reportedly after a 17-year-old girl accused him for allegedly harassing her. Singh, who was in Dubai to perform at a party, was detained in UAE after the model lodged a complaint that the singer sent her inappropriate pictures, Gulf News reported quoting sources.

“Following efforts by the embassy, singer Mika was released at 11:30 pm last night. He will be produced before a court today,” the Indian Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates told ANI.

Daler Mehndi, singer and Mika Singh’s brother told Pinkvilla that ‘the girl in question’ worked with Mika in his group since the last 3-4 years. Read the story here.

Uttarakhand Minister Calls for 'Kedarnath' Ban

Satpal Maharaj, Uttarakhand tourism minister, has told news agency ANI that Kedarnath should be banned in the state. “Our committee has forwarded our advice to CM and decided that law and order should be reviewed. We asked district magistrates to maintain peace and everyone has decided that Kedarnath should be banned.”

According to News 18, the film is not being shown anywhere in the state.

Zareen Khan Files FIR Against Former Manager

Zareen Khan has registered an FIR against her former manager Anjali Atha at the Khar police station on 6 December. According to news agency ANI, Anjali allegedly misbehaved with her, threatened her and sent objectionable messages on her mobile phone after the actor terminated her services. An investigation is underway.

According to Mumbai Mirror, the 1921 actor filed the complaint against her former manager when she learnt that Anjali was spreading malicious gossip about her in the industry and even accepting money on her behalf. Read more here.

#MeToo: Subhash Ghai Gets a Clean Chit From Mumbai Police

The Mumbai police has given a clean chit to filmmaker Subhash Ghai against allegations of sexual misconduct made by model-actor Kate Sharma. According to reports, the police have found no substance in the allegations.

According to a report by Times of India, the complainant had used birthday photographs taken at Ghai’s office and uploaded them on her Facebook page to claim she was being launched in his next film Aitraz 2. She also made the pictures available to Tehlka, a YouTube channel.
