Singer Mika Singh was detained in United Arab Emirates (UAE) reportedly after a 17-year-old girl accused him for allegedly harassing her. Singh, who was in Dubai to perform at a party, was detained in UAE after the model lodged a complaint that the singer sent her inappropriate pictures, Gulf News reported quoting sources.

“Following efforts by the embassy, singer Mika was released at 11:30 pm last night. He will be produced before a court today,” the Indian Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates told ANI.

Daler Mehndi, singer and Mika Singh’s brother told Pinkvilla that ‘the girl in question’ worked with Mika in his group since the last 3-4 years.

“Her mom is always with her and I don’t think there must have been something like this. I don’t understand what has happened. I only had this information and I hope things work well for Mika. I am sure things will work in favour of him,” Mehndi said.
