Corruption Exists in All Fields: Kabir Khan

Filmmaker Kabir Khan, whose latest docu-drama titled "Roar of the Lion" revolves around the downfall of the Chennai Super Kings for match fixing, followed by their victorious comeback in the 2018 Indian Premier League (IPL), says that corruption exists in all fields and cricket is no exception.

Asked if young players get influenced by power and money that the IPL offers and get involved in match fixing, Kabir told IANS here: "I think there is corruption in every profession... a grey area exists in every field, be it cricket, corporate, cinema…it is ultimately dependent on how an individual holds himself or herself."

"Of course in cricket, when players are starting at a young age for an obvious reason... with IPL when they get exposed to huge money, attention and celebrity status, it is easy to lose control and get carried away."

‘PM Narendra Modi’ Trailer Review: Delusion of Grandeur on Screen

The trailer of the much awaited biopic on Prime Minister Narendra Modi is out and it’s disappointingly everything that you expected it to be - an unabashed, reverential PR exercise to amplify Modi’s image as a man who can do no wrong. The fact that a functioning PM would allow such an ego massage of a film to be made on him only betrays his delusion of grandeur, self-obsession and megalomania. Jon Snow's Death Sent Kit Harington to Therapy

Jon Snow, one of the pivotal characters of HBO's epic fantasy show, was killed at the end of season five, and Harington, in an interview with Variety, said it was his "darkest time" till the character was resurrected in the next season.

"It wasn't a very good time in my life. I felt I had to feel that I was the most fortunate person in the world, when actually, I felt very vulnerable. I had a shaky time in my life around there - like I think a lot of people do in their 20s," the actor said.

"That was a time when I started therapy, and started talking to people. I had felt very unsafe, and I wasn't talking to anyone. I had to feel very grateful for what I have, but I felt incredibly concerned about whether I could even f***ing act," he added.

Harington admitted that the constant chatter among the audiences about his character's fate made it "f***ing terrifying" for him to step out in public.

"You get people shouting at you on the street, 'Are you dead?' At the same time you have to have this appearance. All of your neuroses, and I'm as neurotic as any actor, get heightened with that level of focus," he added.

The eighth and final episode of "Game of Thrones" will air in India on Star World on April 14.
