After Varun, Maniesh Paul Tests Positive for COVID-19: Reports
The actors have been shooting for Raj Mehta's 'Jug Jugg Jeeyo'.
Actor and TV host Maniesh Paul has reportedly tested positive for COVID-19. Times of India reports that he took the test after he began feeling feverish while shooting for Jug Jugg Jeeyo.
The film's director Raj Mehta and Maniesh's co-stars Varun Dhawan and Neetu Kapoor have also contracted the virus. Varun recently confirmed the news in an Instagram post where he appealed to fans to take "extra precautions". "All precautions were taken by the production but still nothing is certain in life especially not COVID-19. So please be extra careful I believe I could have been more careful," he wrote.
According to reports, while Varun and Raj Mehta are quarantining themselves in Chandigarh, where they were on location filming, Neetu Kapoor has flown back to Mumbai to recuperate.
Jug Jugg Jeeyo, also stars Anil Kapoor, Kiara Advani and YouTuber Prajakta Koli. Although initial reports suggested Anil Kapoor had also contracted COVID-19, the actor confirmed in an Instagram story that his test was negative. Shooting has temporarily been halted.
