Actor Varun Dhawan got married to his long-time girlfriend Natasha Dalal on Sunday 24 January in Alibaug. The wedding was a strictly private affair involving only close family and friends. Varun posted the first photographs from the wedding function on social media with the message, "Life long love just became official," he wrote.
According to reports not more than 50 guests attended the wedding and some of the guests from the film industry at the venue included filmmaker Karan Johar and designer Manish Malhotra. Other friends such as Deepika Padukone, Neha Dhupia and Sophie Chowdry were reportedly attending the function virtually from their homes online. There was a strict no-photos policy at the wedding that all the guests had to comply with.
Varun chose to wear an ivory and gold sherwani designed by Manish Malhotra for his big day, while Natasha sported a matching embroidered gold bridal lehenga. Natasha Dalal, a fashion designer herself, wore one of her own creations for the wedding.
After the wedding ceremony, the newlyweds stepped out of the venue for a brief photo-op. See the photos below:
