Kapil Sharma Confirms Wedding to Ginni, Will Announce Date Soon

While we already know that Kapil Sharma is going to be back on the small screen with a new show soon, another development is on Kapil’s personal front, the comedian will be marrying his girlfriend Ginni Chatrath in December 2018.

According to a source close to Kapil Sharma, the wedding will be held in Amritsar and will be a four-day long celebration in his hometown will be followed by a reception in Mumbai.

'Iron Fist' Canceled After Two Seasons at Netflix

Marvel's Iron Fist has been cancelled by Netflix after two seasons.

The series featured Finn Jones as the titular superhero character, a martial arts expert with the ability to call upon a mystical power known as the "Iron Fist".

In a joint statement, obtained by Variety, the streaming giant and Marvel Television confirmed that the show is ending.

"Marvel's 'Iron Fist' will not return for a third season on Netflix. Everyone at Marvel Television and Netflix is proud of the series and grateful for all of the hard work from our incredible cast, crew and showrunners," read the statement.

"We're thankful to the fans who have watched these two seasons, and for the partnership we've shared on this series. While the series on Netflix has ended, the immortal 'Iron Fist' will live on," it added.

The first season of the show premiered on Netflix in 2017. It was panned by the critics upon its debut, reports PTI.

Abhay Deol, Pankaj Kapur's Films Chosen for South Asian Film Market

Actors Abhay Deol and Pankaj Kapur's films are among the 11 projects chosen for the first edition of the South Asian Film Market (SAFM).

SAFM was launched at the Singapore South Asian International Film Festival on Saturday.

SAFM includes a selection of 11 filmmakers and their projects and gives them an opportunity to showcase them for a jury, which includes producers like Marc Baschet, Shaailesh R. Singh and Saurabh Gupta, reports IANS.

Through this initiative, SAFM intends to introduce promising new filmmakers to the world of independent cinema.

The 11 projects chosen for the first edition of SAFM are Pankaj's "Aadi" (The Beginning), Kartik Aryan and Adil Hussain's "Barasinghey", Abhay's "JL50", Sanjay Mishra and Pankaj Tripathi's "18 Not Out", Chandan Roy Sanyal's "So Sicily", Shreyas Talpade's "Khwaish", Prabhjit Dhamija's "Samir", Leena Manimekalai's "Maadathy", Rahat Kazmi's "Country Of Blind", Somnath Sen's "Charulata" and Harish Vyas' "Hum Bhi Akele Tum Bhi Akele".

Bryan Adams Meets AR Rahman and His Son After Mumbai Gig

Veteran singer Bryan Adams, who is in India as part of his 'The Ultimate Tour', Saturday met music maestro A R Rahman.

The 58-year-old singer met Rahman and his son for lunch post the Mumbai concert.

The Canadian singer-songwriter performed at Mumbai's Bandra-Kurla complex on Friday night, where he enthralled the audience with his chartbuster singles such as "Summer of 69", "Run to you" and "Everything I do".

The concerts are lined up in support of his 21-track album, 'Ultimate', which released in November last year, reports PTI.

Nawazuddin's Sister Battling Cancer Since She Was 18

Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui on Thursday shared a heartfelt message for his sister, who he says has been battling breast cancer since she was 18.

The actor posted a birthday message acknowledging his sister's courage.

"My sister ws diagnosed of advanced stage (of) breast cancer at 18 but it was her will power and courage that made her stand against all the odds. She turns 25 today and still fighting," Nawazuddin tweeted.

Nawazuddin extended gratitude to the doctors for motivating his sister and said he was grateful to Resul Pookutty for introducing him to the medical experts, reports IANS.

Superstar Mohanlal Under Fire From Actors

The Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA), led by super star Mohanlal, came under fire on Saturday from the Women's Collective in Cinema (WCC) over the way the kidanpping case of an actress is being handled.

The WCC was formed last year by women drawn from various sectors of the film industry to fight for their cause, after they found that AMMA was not protecting their interests.

Senior actor Dileep is an accused in a kidnapping case that took place last year. The actor was in jail for 85 days and is now out on bail.

The WCC alleges that AMMA has not supported the victim, whereas Dileep has got all the backing, reports IANS.
