In a bizarre case of life mirroring a Bollywood plot, investigative journalist Paul Myers, has revealed that an alleged fan had registered a company in the UK three years ago, and named Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan’s family members among its board of directors.

According to Companies House, the government agency responsible for maintaining records of businesses in the United Kingdom, Bros Brother International was set up on 28 December 2016 and dissolved in February 2019. It was allegedly “engaged in the “activities of extraterritorial organisations and bodies” and listed 13 directors including Shah Rukh Khan, Salim Khan, Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan, reports The Indian Express.

Its most dubious director, however, is one Anjali Sharma – who happens to share her name with Kajol’s character in Karan Johar’s 1998 film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, which also starred Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerjee.

The company profile included the addresses of Shah Rukh Khan and Salim Khan’s residences, Mannat and Gaalaxy Apartments, respectively. Anjali Sharma’s address was linked to a London PO box and the registered address of Bros Brothers International was another mail box at Knightsbridge.

Speaking at the Global Investigative Journalism Conference 2019, organised by Global Investigative Journalism Network (GIJN) in Hamburg, Myers called it, “someone’s deranged idea of a joke”. He was part of the BBC Investigation Initiative and came across Bros Brothers International during his research on companies in the UK.

According to The Indian Express, Salman Khan’s business manager Jordy Patel has denied any association between the company and Salman Khan, his family or the Being Human Foundation. Queries sent to Shah Rukh Khan’s representatives went unanswered.
