There’s been a lot of speculation about Shah Rukh Khan’s next film. An entertainment website had recently reported that Shah Rukh Khan has said yes to a film under the YashRaj Films banner, which will be directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. The report also said that the film would be a special one because it would also mark the 50-year anniversary of YRF in 2020.

However, in his new tweet on Sunday morning, SRK has quashed all reports and rumours of him having signed any film. “Boys & girls I do a film when I say I am doing it....otherwise it’s just post truth.” tweeted the star.

Earlier, there were reports that Shah Rukh’s next would be a film with Rajkumar Hirani, which again was not officially confirmed by neither the star nor the filmmaker. More recently, there was news that SRK had signed a film with Anubhav Sinha, who is on a roll with critically acclaimed hits like Mulk and Article 15. Sinha had earlier directed Shah Rukh in the 2011 release Ra.One.

In an interview to senior film journalist Rajeev Masand last month, Shah Rukh Khan had said that he had not signed any film yet but was keen on doing an action film. SRK’s last film Zero directed by Aanand L Rai was a flop at the box-office. Before the release of Zero, Shah Rukh had confirmed that he had signed on a film about the only Indian to have traveled to space - Rakesh Sharma. But post the release and failure of Zero, SRK apparently walked out of the film as he wanted to take a break and not sign on any film for a while.

Be it Rajkumar Hirani, Anubhav Sinha or Ali Abbas Zafar, watch this space for an official confirmation from Shah Rukh Khan on what he’ll be working on next.
