1. SRK, Aamir, Alia Join B-Town Stars in Condemning Pulwama Attack

Within a couple of hours of an explosive-laden vehicle detonating and destroying a bus carrying CRPF jawans in south Kashmir’s Pulwama on Thursday, 14 February, Jaish-e-Muhammed (JeM), a Pakistan-based terrorist group, claimed responsibility for the attack. Bollywood celebrities tweeted their condolences, and strongly condemned the attack on social media.

Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra, Salman Khan and many other Bollywood stars mourned the loss of the jawans and offered condolences to their families.

2. Prakash Padukone Receives Sports Award, DeepVeer Cheer Him On

Ranveer along with Deepika and her mother Ujjala, showed their support doe Prakash Padukone, who received the Sports Lifetime Achievement Award. 

Bollywood’s favourite couple - Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone - spent their Valentines Day showing support for Deepika’s father and Badminton legend, Prakash Padukone, who was bestowed with the Lifetime Achievement Award at Sportstar Aces Awards on Thursday, 14 February.

The same event awarded India skipper Virat Kohli and pacer Jasprit Bumrah as joint winners in the Sportsman of the Year (Cricket) category, PTI reported.

3. Javed, Shabana Cancel Karachi Appearance After Pulwama Attack

Poet/writer Javed Akhtar and wife actor Shabana Azmi have decided to skip being part of a Karachi Art Council event in protest of the militant attack in Pulwama. The couple were earlier invited to join the two literature conference in Karachi but have now cancelled in light of the attack carried out by Pakistan-based terror group Jaish-E-Mohammed (JEM.)

4. This Is Why Ajay Devgn Turned Down a Role in Shankar’s ‘Indian 2’

Ajay Devgn declined a role opposite Kamal Haasan in Indian 2.

While speculation was rife that Ajay Devgn was to make his Tamil debut in Shankar’s Indian 2, the actor has finally addressed why he will not be seen opposite Kamal Haasan in the sequel to the 1996 film.

“I would have loved to do Shankar's movie, but I didn't have the dates. He wanted to shoot the movie right now. [But] I am stuck with Taanaji,” mid-day reported Ajay as saying.

5. Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s ‘Photograph’ Gets New Release Date

The release of Ritesh Batra directorial Photograph, starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Sanya Malhotra, has been postponed by a week. The film, which was set to hit theatres on 8 March, will now be released on 15 March.
