1. Salman Khan Doesn’t Want Arijit Singh to Sing in His Film Again?

Salman Khan’s ruthless and unforgiving streak is not unknown to Bollywood. Word has it that B-towners are advised to not get on his bad side. Arijit had crooned ‘Jag Ghoomeya’ for Sultan but reportedly Salman Khan ensured that the song was dropped from the film owing to his long-lasting feud with Salman. His version was replaced with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s version. The feud allegedly goes back to the time when Arijit appeared in informal clothes and ‘chappals’ to collect the award presented to him by at an award show hosted by Salman Khan. A verbal exchange of snide remarks reportedly followed on the stage where Arijit said in jest, “Kya sir sula diya aapne?

2. Varun Dhawan, KJo & Shashank Khaitan Reunite for ‘Rannbhoomi’

After delivering two hits in the past, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya & Badrinath ki Dulhaniya, actor Varun Dhawan, director, Shashank Khaitan and producer, Karan Johar are coming together with a title that refreshingly does not carry the word ‘Dulhaniya’. The name of the film and the caption shared by Varun Dhawan suggests that it would be the tale of a warrior.

With all the promises of a visual extravaganza, Rannbhoomi dovetailing around relationships, heroism and revenge is poised to be a Diwali blockbuster, the official Twitter handle of Dharma Productions announced the news.

3. Homi Adajania to Direct Sequel of ‘Hindi Medium’ With Irrfan Khan

Homi Adajania to direct Irrfan Khan. 

Homi Adajania will be directing the sequel to Hindi Medium with actor Irrfan Khan playing the lead. The filmmaker says the film's story is very "amusing yet emotional".

The news of Adajania getting on board to direct the quirky franchise comedy for Dinesh Vijan's Maddock films banner was announced on Monday.

"I ambled into Dinoo's (Vijan) room and he was sitting down to a narration. I had enjoyed the first one ('Hindi Medium') and the way these writers have taken the narrative forward is very clever," Adajania said in a statement.

4. CBFC Mutes ‘Glory to Hanuman’ Reference in ‘Black Panther’

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has done it again. It has beeped out an otherwise un-offensive word in Marvel’s Black Panther. The superhero flick, which has been receiving rave reviews by audiences worldwide made a reference to Lord Hanuman.

In one of the scenes planted as an easter egg for fans in India, M’Baku, leader of a tribe called ‘Jabari’ made a reference to Lord Hanuman and said “Glory to Hanuman”. Much to the chagrin of fans, the word has been beeped out by the CBFC. Many fans have said that it was done to avoid hurting sentiments because the ‘Jabari’ tribe is known for worshipping the gorilla god. The gorilla god has been called “Man-Ape” in the comics. But the word was changed to “Hanuman” in the film.

5. Mumbai Police Detain Man Who Masturbated in Front of Marathi Actor

Actor Sumeet Raghavan files complaint after his wife saw a man masturbate in front of her. 

Marathi actress Chinmayee Surve-Raghavan faced an obscene situation when a man came out of a car and masturbated in front of her on Monday and complained to police, who managed to trace and apprehend the perpetrator within a few hours.

Her husband, Sumeet Ragahvan of Sarabhai vs Sarabhai fame took to Twitter on Monday afternoon to write an online complaint to Mumbai Police, after his wife spotted an unidentified man masturbate in front of her in the Vile Parle area in Mumbai.
