PUBG is Getting a New Snow Map ‘Vikendi’: Here Are Some Features

Winter is here! And Tencent Games seems to be making most of this seasonal transition. The company’s gaming division PUBG Corp. has announced that it will release a new map for PUBG in the coming days.

The new map dubbed Vikendi will be a snow-covered area and is currently available on the test servers of the PC version. Its official release date has been slotted for 19 December on PCs. We still don’t know when the update will be rolled out for the mobile version.

Amazon has launched its tenth generation Kindle e-reader devices in India, with prices starting from Rs 8,999 and going up to Rs 17,999 for the 4G variant of the Kindle Paperwhite.

Kindle has been a popular product, finding buyers who’re willing to switch from physical books to the digital form.

It does help that Kindle has a long battery life, which can last for over six weeks on a single charge. With the new Kindle series available, we decided to list out the changes/improvements that one can expect from the new e-reader. Also, this will help current Kindle owners determine whether it is the ideal time to upgrade.

Zomato Buys This Drone Startup For Food Delivery in India

Zomato wants to become one of the first Indian brands to start a fleet of drones for making deliveries. Amazon has been globally touted to be in the mix but for India, getting deliveries done via drones doesn’t sound like a far-fetched idea anymore.

The restaurant aggregator giant wants to set up its own platform for drone delivery, as soon as it gets the green flag from the government. To make this happen, Zomato on Wednesday announced it has acquired Lucknow-based startup TechEagle, which specialises in the drone delivery ecosystem.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 or Huawei Mate 20 Pro: The Better Flagship?

2018 will be remembered for flashy high-end phones that breached all previous records. The iPhone XS Max costs a whopping Rs 1,45,000 for the 512GB variant, which has helped other brands to price their products respectfully.

Compared to the iPhones and the Pixels, Samsung and Huawei with their Galaxy Note 9 and Mate 20 Pro respectively feel like feature-packed devices for under 70K. So, it was obvious that a comparison between the Galaxy Note 9 and the Mate 20 Pro was on the cards. Both are Android devices, packing multiple cameras at the back and come loaded with a big capacity battery.

Google Welcomes Microsoft’s Decision to Use Chromium on Edge

Microsoft, on Thursday, 6 December, announced that it will be rebuilding its Edge browser to run on Chromium, the same open-source web-rendering engine that also powers Google’s Chrome. In a statement to The Verge, Google has welcomed the tech giant’s decision.

According to The Verge, this means the Microsoft’s browser will be powered by Blink and the V8 JavaScript engines, marking Microsoft’s entry into the open-source community.

The corporate Vice President of Windows Joe Belfiore said that they want to make the web experience better.
