The New York Times’coverage of the latest ISRO feat was also dubbed as ‘patronising’ by the Indian media. Sample this, ‘India is fascinated with world records, and Wednesday’s satellite launch prompted a wave of celebratory crowing, some of it aimed at Asian rivals’ and ‘The Indian Space Research Organization has gained attention in recent years for staging successful missions at very low cost, in part because its scientists are paid less’.
