Remember the time when you used to pick up the newspaper to read the Garfield comic strip? Unfortunately, few of us have the time to pick up the newspaper much less read it. So how should us mobile-addicts get our daily dose of humour ? Ta-da! These web comics will not just crack you up but also make you go ‘so-relatable’.

Sarah's Scribbles

Sarah’s Scribbles is quirky, fun and amazingly relatable for our inner introvert. A lot of these comic strips will make you go been-there-done-that. The comic follows the humorous daily struggles of a shy introvert girl. Her observations will make you wonder if the creator Sarah Andersen can read your mind. Sarah’s Scribbles was formerly called Doodle Time and also happens to be my absolute favourite.

Awkward Yeti

Awkward Yeti’s characters are our body organs. It personifies our brain, heart, stomach etc with different personalities and traits. While the heart is whimsical and impulsive, the brain, on the other hand, is a practical, rational character forever trying to prevent the heart from getting into trouble. The dialogue between various organs seems so realistic that you can actually believe that your heart and brain have these humorous conversations.

OwlTurd Comix

OwlTurd depicts an average person’s struggles with life and internet. Love and Life are characters in the comics but to say the least, not the nicest ones. OwlTurd is not the most optimistic comic out there but it definitely shows how most of us view our lives, especially when we are down. The best thing about these comics is that it makes pessimism fun and entertaining.

Le Rage Comics

Le Rage Comics are easily the most famous comics on the internet and if you don’t know about them, you are definitely living under a rock or were probably in a coma (sorry if that is true :p). These comics started around 2007 and were made using MS Paint rather than Photoshop or other complicated software, which made it easier for anybody to make these strips.

Cyanide and Happiness

Cyanide and Happiness comics have over 11 million followers on Facebook and are popular for the dark humour in their comics. The comic strips take on various controversial topics and achieve humour with sheer surrealism. Cyanide and Happiness will surely appeal to the sadist in you. They even have their cartoon show, be sure to check that out.

Gemma Correll

Are you paranoid, not a people person, lazy and an animal lover? Then, Gemma Correll is your soul sister. Gemma Correll cartoons or illustrations tap deep inside us to portray the insecurities we all have. The artist’s work is loved by the over-thinker, the neurotic and the insomniac in me. It makes me believe that I am not the only crazy person in the world, there are others just like me.

For Lack of a Better Comic

For Lack of a Better Comic strips either take us back to school or shows us what would happen, if things that people say for the sake of saying became a reality (This is hard to explain, see below).  The comics are funny, light and will surely put a smile on your face.

Jim K Benton

Jim K Benton’s most famous creation is the “Happy Bunny’’ who in reality is the meanest bunny around, as it has literally no filter. It says the things we wish to say out loud but can’t due to the fear of social ostracisation. The creepy smile on that bunny is the smile we give people when we really want to punch them in the face but can’t. The artist’s other works are also hilarious but I just love that Bunny. I want a t-shirt with that on it.

JL8

JL8 is the cutest web comic out there. It’s cute because it shows all your favourite DC Comic characters in their kid-versions. It is like baby Looney Tunes but they are a little older, at about 8-9 years old. I love adult Batman but this cute, grumpy, aloof baby Batman is the best version of Batman ever.

Noob the Loser

We know this guy and sometimes we are this guy. This average retail worker lives a mediocre life which is our biggest fear and most of the times our reality. It should be sad but is still funny. Also, he reminds me of Jon from Garfield, what do you think?
