More than a week into the new season of the Indian Premier League but Kolkata Knight Riders just only played their first home game on Thursday. That also would mean their match against Kings XI Punjab would be preceded by an opening ceremony.
Putting up a grand show for KKR were Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor, singer Monali Thakur and the very famous Shillong Chamber Choir.
Following their performances, Kolkata Knight Riders won the toss and opted to bowl first. In the KKR Playing XI Umesh Yadav and Piyush Chawla replaced Ankit Rajpoot and Kuldeep Yadav while Kings XI brought in Ishant Sharma in place of T Natarajan.
