Justice Dipak Misra was sworn in as the 45th Chief Justice of India on Monday. He undertook oath of office administered by President Ramnath Kovind, at the Rashtrapati Bhavan’s Darbar Hall.

Justice Mista will have a term of approximately 14 months, about the average length for a CJI in the last couple of decades.
