N Korea Warns US of “Super-Mighty Preemptive” Strike

In response to the threat US ambassador to UN said, “We are looking for a reason to fight, so don’t give us one.”

North Korean state media warned the United States of a "super-mighty preemptive strike" after US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said the United States was looking at ways to bring pressure to bear on North Korea over its nuclear programme.

The Rodong Sinmun, the official newspaper of the North's ruling Workers' Party, did not mince its words.

In the case of our super-mighty preemptive strike being launched, it will completely and immediately wipe out not only US imperialists’ invasion forces in South Korea and its surrounding areas but the US mainland and reduce them to ashes

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has carried on his muclear programmes with a blatant defiance of UN Security Councils sanctions which the US President Donald Trump criticized North Korea's "continued belligerence”.

US ambassador to UN, Nikki Haley said North Korea is feeling pressurised by China into “flexing its muscles”

Kim Jong Un is starting to flex his muscle because he feels the pressure…I think he’s just trying to show his strength to the people of his country. 

She said that although US had tried to mount pressure on North Korea earlier which didn’t deter the country much, this time they’re double strong with China on their side.

(The difference this time is)...working with china as your partner...What I will say again is the US is not looking for a fight, so don’t give us a reason.

Reclusive North Korea regularly threatens to destroy Japan, South Korea and the United States.

The UN Security Council must be prepared to impose new sanctions on North Korea , USPresident Donald Trump said on Monday ahead of a lunch with ambassadors from countries on the UN council.

Speaking to reporters, Trump said it was “great disappointment” that the council also failed to act in response to a recent Syrian chemical weapons attack.

US Vice President Mike Pence, on a tour of Asian allies, has said repeatedly an "era of strategic patience" with North Korea is over.
