A video showing four men sitting inside a car is going viral on social media to claim that these are the "terrorists" who were involved in the recent Pahalgam attack.
The claim also specifies that this video was recorded after the attack and shows them celebrating it.
How did we find out the truth?: We performed a reverse image search on some of the keyframes of the viral video and this led us to an Instagram account of a content creator, Sadiq (_Sadiq999_).
Sadiq is a creator based in Azerbaijan and he had shared this video on 11 April 2025, which predates the Pahalgam terror attack.
Moreover, we did not find any credible news reports which indicated that this video is linked to Pahalgam.
We have also reached out to the content creator for more context about the video.
Sadiq also posted a story dismissing the claims and stating, "I am not a terrorist."
Conclusion: An old video of four content creators from Azerbaijan is being falsely linked to the Pahalgam terror attack.
