A video of a huge explosion is being shared on social media platforms with a claim that it shows recent visuals from Pakistan following an attack by the Indian armed forces.
What did the claim say?: The viral clip carried text in Hindi that loosely translated to, "They were saying that we have nuclear bomb, Indian army exploded their own bomb in their own country, now save yourself from your own bomb."
What are the facts?: The video could be traced back to at least May 2015, which predates the recent escalations between India and Pakistan.
How did we find that out?: We performed a simple reverse image search on the keyframes of the viral clip and found the same visuals uploaded on an X handle named '@YusraAIA'.
News reports: A report published by France24 said that as per residents, three air strikes hit a base for army units loyal to the Houthis in the north of Yemen's capital.
The report said that the Saudi-led coalition, with the support of Washington, was bombing Houthi rebels and allied army units since 26 March 2015.
It was published on 12 May 2015.
Conclusion: While we could not independently verify the context or location of the viral clip, it is evidently unrelated to the recent India-Pakistan tensions.
