False Claim About Salman Khan Being Hospitalised Due to Aneurysm Goes Viral

The claim: The post noted that Khan had been hospitalised and was in a critical condition due to a brain aneurysm.

Is the claim true?: No, the claim is false.

  • There are no official reports to confirm whether Khan has been hospitalised.

  • Additionally, he appeared as the host on reality show Bigg Boss's nineteenth season on 31 August.

What we found: At first, we ran a relevant keyword search to check whether Khan had been admitted to a hospital, recently, due to a brain aneurysm however, we did not find any official reports or press notes to prove the same.

  • Incidentally, we came across a report by the Times of India from 23 June noting Khan's appearance on comedy show The Great Indian Kapil Show.

  • In the show, Khan revealed that despite enduring serious health issues including trigeminal neuralgia (a nerve disorder), a brain aneurysm, and an arteriovenous malformation (AVM) among other injuries and ailments, including broken ribs, he continued to perform action-packed scenes and maintain a demanding schedule.

  • Additionally, we tracked Khan's social media and found that he posted a video on Instagram on the occasion of Ganpati Visarjan which he celebrated with his family. He can be seen dancing with his relatives in the video.

  • Khan also appeared as the host of reality show Bigg Boss 19 which airs on over-the-top platform JioHotstar and Colors TV on 30 August.

Conclusion: The viral claim is false that Khan has been admitted to a hospital due to a brain aneurysm.
