As the National Capital witnesses heavy rains, a video is circulating on social media showing an area submerged in water, which has gone viral as recent visuals of the Delhi airport runway.
In the clip, the airport's runway appears to be flooded, and aeroplanes can be seen moving through the water.
Those sharing wrote that the Delhi airport had become a 'sea.'
What we found: At first, we divided the video into multiple screenshots and ran a Google reverse image search on some of them.
We were led to a report by India Today featuring the same viral clip from April 2024. It noted that aeroplanes navigated a flooded runway in the Dubai airport.
Similarly, it also showed us the same clip uploaded by Saudi Arabian channel, Al-Arabiya from April 2024 which also noted that the clip was from Dubai.
Social media posts from April 2024 also noted that Dubai airport's runway was flooded during the heavy rains in the city. You can see some of them here and here.
