What have users said?: Those sharing the image have captioned it saying, "Vaibhav Suryavanshi And Sofia Qureshi. The country's most courageous woman and the country's youngest player together."
What are the facts?: The image has been altered to add Qureshi's picture. The original visual showed Suryavanshi standing next to former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer.
How did we find that out?: After isolating Suryavanshi's face on the viral image, we performed a simple reverse image search that led us to a report published by The Indian Express.
The report talked about Suryavanshi's journey as a cricketer and how he was set to play for the Rajasthan team in the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) tournament.
The photo showed Suryavanshi standing next to former cricketer Wasim Jaffer.
The same photo was also shared on the official Instagram handle of the young player. It was shared on 24 March 2024 with a caption that said, "Wasim sir🙏 the legend @wasimjaffer14."
Conclusion: The image has been evidently altered and does not show a real visual.
