No, Video Doesn't Show Col Sofia Qureshi Marching & Demonstrating With Rifle

A video showing a uniformed officer marching and executing a rifle demonstration is going viral online to claim that it shows Colonel Sofia Qureshi.

What's the truth?: This video shows a BSF officer at Suchetgarh border in Jammu demonstrating with a rifle.

How did we find out the truth?: We performed a reverse image search on some of the keyframes of the viral video on Google lens.

• This led us to a Facebook video shared by an account named 'Indian Army' and the caption did not mention Colonel Qureshi.

• This video showed the same uniformed officer and we could notice 'BSF' (Border Security Force) badge and 'Amarjeet' name tag.

• We found another Facebook video shared by one, Abhinav Gupta, who had shared more videos of the officer from Jammu's Suchetgarh border.

Gupta had also shared a selfie with the same officer and it shows her name tag which clearly read 'Amarjeet Kaur'.

Conclusion: A Border Security Force (BSF) officer is being misidentified as Colonel Sofia Qureshi in a viral video.
