A set of three images showing Indian cricketer Shubman Gill and veteran cricketer Sachin Tendulkar’s daughter, Sara Tendulkar, have gone viral on social media.

The images claim to be taken at the ongoing Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj.

Is the claim true?: No, the claim is false. All three images have been created using artificial intelligence (AI) technology.

What we found: At first, we noticed a logo of ‘Grok AI,’ a generative AI chatbot, in its bottom right corner. This meant that the image was created using AI.

• Another point which cleared that the images were AI-generated was the smooth texture.

• We then ran the images on AI-detection websites such as Hive Moderation and Sightengine.

• Both the AI-detection platforms declared the images as generated using AI. Swipe to see the results.

• We found no reports or official documentation which proved that the two attended the Kumbh.
