The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has approached the Supreme Court against the Calcutta High Court’s order directing house arrest for four arrested Trinamool Congress (TMC) leaders in the Narada bribery case and sought adjournment of the hearing of the case in front of a larger bench of the high court, scheduled to be held on Monday, 24 May, reports LiveLaw.
The probe agency has also moved the court against the HC’s direction that the matter be heard by a larger bench of the same court after two judges of the previous bench were unable to agree on a matter.
