Pratyusha’s Mother Moves SC to Cancel Rahul’s Anticipatory Bail

Shoma Banerjee earlier sought custodial interrogation for Rahul Raj Singh.

• Pratyusha Banerjee’s mother Shoma Banerjee on Thursday moved the Supreme Court seeking to cancel the anticipatory bail for Rahul Raj Singh, Pratyusha’s boyfriend and main accused for abetting her suicide. The Bombay High Court had granted Singh bail on 25 April.
  
  
• The matter will be heard in front of the vacation bench consisting of Justices AM Sapre and Ashok Bhushan on 30 May.
  
  
• The ‘Balika Vadhu’ fame actress was found hanging at her residence in Goregaon on 1 April and was rushed to a hospital by Rahul in Andheri where she was declared dead. Rahul Raj Singh’s involvement is being investigated.
