Women on Twitter are brightening up the micro blogging website by tweeting saree photos. Twitter is known to be a repository of all things offensive, thus, this trend called ‘#SareeTwitter’, comes as a breath of fresh air!
On Monday, 15 July, the hashtag #SareeTwitter floated on Twitter and by Tuesday it was already a massive hit. The trend documented a series of saree throwbacks and ‘OOTD’s’. Even politicians and actors played along.
Sarees have truly stood the test of time. Having been around for over 5000 years, we can spot them everywhere, be it our grandmothers or leading ladies in Hindi cinema, the saree makes every woman not just look good but also feel good. And here are some pretty awesome ladies who are slaying us with their saree game.
First up, Priyanka Gandhi, who shared an image of herself on her wedding day, twenty-two years ago.
