Forget the tired white Ghodee, this Peshwa of pomp is going for maximum style, and we can just hear the purr of the smooth plane as it glides onto the blue waters of Lake Como sending ripples across Deepika’s heart.
With a bit of investigation we found out that a ride in the pristine skies on a sea plane could costs 200 Euros per couple. If the sea plane has 14 seats for 7 couples, this adds up to about 1400 Euros or Rs 1.14 Lakhs in INR.
And how does this compare to bride-to-be Deepika’s love for finer things? Not a patch! For Deepika’s favourite red leather sling bag which is supposedly a Yves Saint Laurent piece, and her airport staple, comes for the tidy sum of over 1.3 Lakhs. She casually throws it over her shoulders on most days, not just on her wedding day. So net net, Dippy beats Ranveer hands down in the splurge factor.
When it comes to their collective spend, the couple according to India Today, spare no expense on their friends and family. They are being put up, it is said, in hotel rooms that cost about 400 Euros per night, or approximately Rs 33,000 per night, in a resort opposite the decadent wedding venue, Villa Balbianello.
By the look of things, their guests are very happy. Their digs are said to come with an outdoor veranda overlooking the fairy tale Lake. But now that they are man and wife, what’s his is hers and what’s hers is his, so more power bags to you Dippy and more grand entries to you Ranveer.
