Suhana Khan has been getting a lot of hate for her latest shoot with Vogue. It's not just nepotism, but all of us are responsible for turning star kids into celebrities. Aren't we responsible for making them stars even before they start their career? We blame nepotism (which exists everywhere BTW... every possible industry and even politics), but aren't we responsible for increasing their "market value" even before the industry puts a price tag on them? Not saying PR doesn't have a role to play - of course they cash in on the audience's interest.

Not just media, people in general, in fact all of us want to know where the star kids are holidaying, partying, dining, who they are hanging out with, which designer they are wearing, etc. Their pictures trend on social media, they give us #StyleGoals #HolidayGoals and #EveryPossibleGoal.

Now when there's an interview of a star kid in a fashion magazine, where she is telling us all of that, we have an issue and are questioning her skills and why she made it to the cover of a fashion magazine.

Forget 18-year-old Suhana, even a 2-year-old Taimur is a “celebrity” in his own right. And who made him a celebrity? You and me!

It is us who make them a household name, put them under the spotlight and make it so tough for them to even roam around on the streets without being noticed and photographed. They feel like a star at 2 (Taimur) or 18 (Suhana) because we make them feel so. So, why cry over a star kid being on the cover of a fashion magazine like Vogue?
