Gal Gadot has become our favourite superhero after her amazing performance in her latest movie Wonder Woman.
But just to let you know, Wonder Woman Gal Gadot lost to the ‘Ashiq Banaya Aapne’ actress Tanushree Dutta in Miss Universe 2004 pageant. Twitter has gone gaga over this discovery.
While Tanushree Dutta was the eighth runner up, Gal Gadot didn’t make it into the top 15.
Though this may have been by design, as she said while talking to W Magazine that she actually never wanted to be Miss Universe. After having won Miss Israel, she recalls her fear at possibly winning Miss Universe:
I got in and I never thought I would win and then I won and then it scared me. I was like, ‘What? Miss Israel? All the responsibility of being Miss Israel?’ [...] I was very naughty and not well-behaved because I didn’t want to win again!Gal Gadot to W Magazine
Twitterati, of course, were over the moon at the new-found connection, taking shallow, gleeful pleasure in comparing and contrasting the two successful women’s careers from behind their screens.
