Twitter has managed to dig up yet another goldmine of creativity from its users. The latest trend that seems to have gripped the micro-blogging website, both around the world and in India, is the increasingly ironic pattern of “Where are you from?”What started as the #whereareyoufrom hashtag that trended after US President Donald Trump reportedly belittled a Korean-American reporter, has now been flipped on its its head. Tweeple make fun of the ignorance the speaker exhibits in a grossly exaggerated and cathartic punchline.A few highlights:Indians, of course, both at home and abroad jumped to put their hats in this ring and exhibit their national pride and collective love for curry:Of course, there were twists in the format. Why be anything else when you can be Indian?Maybe a Google search for all of these places would not be out of the question for the oblivious askers. What do you think?
