But in the West, Diggi Raja is in the news for all the wrong reasons.
A New York Times article about Prime Minister Modi’s #SelfieWithDaughter campaign, made an error when they carried a troll’s tweet that featured one of the pictures of Digivijay Singh and former Rajya Sabha TV anchor Amrita Rai which emerged last year and created quite a stir during the campaigning for the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections.
The NYT, visibly embarrassed, removed the tweet and have posted a correction under the article.
Since NYT removed the tweet, we think that this tweet, by a fake account in the name of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu may have lent credibility to the cause and consequently caused the blooper.
