AIB has released a new video on the eve of India’s Independence Day and it is all about how British left India in 1947. The video, titled The Day India Resigned has Utsav Chakraborty playing India, who is appearing for an “exit interview” with Britain, played by Nick Pillow.
The witty remarks made by India and Britain, who prefers calling himself as Raj are really funny. Tanmay Bhat has made a guest appearance in the video. He portrays Pakistan (dressed as Jinnah) who keeps interrupting the interview and annoys both Raj and India.
This video by AIB reminds us of all the promises our nation made 70 years ago. It also reminds us of the promises we failed to keep. The video has made subtle references to caste issues, section 377 and many more problems prevalent in India.
