“Thank you for trying so hard to understand us and why we’re here on this lonely rock,” said people on Twitter.

It breaks our heart to think that we’ve just lost a mind perceptive enough to make us realise all of the above. On Wednesday, British astrophysicist and renowned scientist Stephen Hawking passed away at the age of 76.
