Finally, some good news for students of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII). Janta ka Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal in a series of tweets has offered saddi Dilli to them for attending classes.
The proposal came soon after the Pune Police arrested five students from the campus on Tuesday night. Kejriwal, who is an ardent believer of dharnas, fasts, and protests was shocked by the midnight fiasco.
Kejriwal did what he does best (No. Not dharnas) – tweet. He offered a temporary solution to the students, but also mentioned that if the situation worsens, he’s willing to offer Delhi as their permanent home. What a noble thought!
What’s with the sudden LOVE, Mr Kejriwal? The Quint tries to decode the reason behind this overwhelming affection.
AAP Recruitments
FTII students have a lot in common with the Aam Aadmi Party’s chief Arvind Kejriwal. But the two main criteria the students meet are – they love dharnas and they dislike the BJP. What else does hamara Arvind want? Perfect match to be the next AAP joinee. Good move to recruit new blood Mr Kejriwal!
AAP-ka Hero
Arvind Kejriwal likes to act, sing, and he loves films. This is his chance to woo the young minds and convince them to make a biopic on him. The camera-friendly CM would love to have a film or documentary made, to be preferably titled Woh 49 Din. We’re sure AAP has begged (oopps, bagged) enough money to fund the film too.
#KejriMovies
Arvind Kejriwal has been spending some quality time, every couple of weeks, warming up seats of movie theatres. It all seems awesome now as he gets to watch them all for free (perks of being a CM). But what happens once his tenure ends? Like any other aam aadmi he too would have to stand in queues to book tickets and watch with the public. To avoid such a depressing future, Kejriwal is ensuring that he builds a healthy relationship with prospective future filmmakers, who’ll invite him to special screenings.
Political Agenda
We all know that behind this sweet gesture there lies a hidden political agenda. Obviously, the state has ample space to give to students (even Jantar Mantar would do), but the government doesn’t have enough cash to make the big shift. So what’s Kejri’s next move? He’ll ask Prime Minister Narendra Modi to lend some money from his multi-billion funds, which he’s managed to extract from UAE. What a perfect plot. Bwahahahahahahaha.
