Keep Calm, There’s a New British Royal Baby

Prince William and Kate Middleton’s third baby is here!

“Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 1101 hrs.

The baby weighs 8lbs 7oz.

The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth.

Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well.’’

The baby boy was born at St Mary’s Hospital in London. He is the fifth in line to the throne after his grandfather Prince Charles, his father Prince William, and his siblings Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

The Duchess was admitted to the hospital before 6 am (UK time)  in the early stages of labour on Monday.

Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was admitted to St. Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, London earlier this morning in the early stages of labour.

The Duchess travelled by car from Kensington Palace to the Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital with The Duke of Cambridge.

The Lindo Wing of the hospital saw a flock of reporters gather to hopefully catch the first glimpse of mother and baby.
