Twitter Hails Pakistan TV Channel for Hiring 1st Male Sikh Anchor

A private news channel of Pakistan called ‘Public News’ hired the first male Sikh news anchor.

For Pakistani News Channels, 2018 is turning out to be quite a progressive year, with news channels like ‘Kohenoor TV’ and ‘Hum News’ setting examples by hiring the first trans news anchor and first female sikh reporter respectively.

On 24 June, the official handle of a private news channel ‘Public News’ announced Harmeet Singh’s induction into the company.

Transgender news anchor Marvia malik and female sikh reporter Manmeet Kaur’s induction also led to enormous social buzz earlier.
