Turns out, parents around the world have been launching flip-flops with incredible range at their kids this whole time!
Check out this viral video of a Mexican mother throwing a ‘chappal’ at her teen daughter.
The description of the video on YouTube reads, “Parent launched sandal at least 30 metres down street in Mexico after argument. Flip-flop soared through the air and whacked teenager between the shoulders (sic).”
Daily Mail reported, “This is the incredible moment an angry mother launched her flip-flop at her fleeing teenage daughter with an incredible long-range shot.”

Netizens couldn’t help but appreciate the Mexican mother’s flip-flop flinging skills.
The video, which was first posted on Twitter, has garnered more than a million views and around 60,000 likes.
According to Daily Mail, a number of online users commented that “the woman appeared to be world-class in the noble art of the ‘chanclazo volador’ (flying flip-flop), reportedly a popular way for Mexican mothers to punish their disobedient daughters.”
