The Sikh community is known and respected for a lot of things, but one thing that defines this community is their love for food and the delicious langar that is prepared at Gurdwaras on special occasions.
One such event was organised by the ‘Nanak Naam Jahaj’ Gurdwara in New Jersey on 19 and 20 November where more than 500 volunteers came together and prepared food for the poor.
Volunteers who participated in the event – called ‘Let’s Share a Meal’ – prepared and served hot meals to more than 15,000 people.
