In Fukui Japan, a Buddhist monk was ticketed by a traffic police citing that his traditional garb was interfering with his safety.
According to this The Japan News report, the monk was charged for ‘driving in kimono that could affect safe driving.’ The said monk also had to pay a fine of Yen 6000, which is Rs 3,875 approximately.

Now that driving ticket stirred up the monk community in Japan (and beyond) and they decided to take to Twitter to show just how agile they can get in their religious clothes. They started a Tweet storm saying ‘I can do this in my monk clothes’.
