It’s now become routine for celebrities to get trolled for merely sharing pictures of themselves or their significant others’. Cricketers Irfan Pathan and Mohammed Shami were recently at the receiving end of trolls wrath, when they shared photos of their wives on social media.
Irfan shared this photo of his wife Safa Baig on Instagram, where she is seen covering her face with her hands, adorned in nail paint.
Trolls wasted not moment to slammed the cricketer and school him for ‘letting his wife paint her nails’ and show her face and uncovered arms on social media.
Shutting down trolls, Irfan replied with a single laconic tweet:
In fact, the cricketer had shared the same photo on Twitter with the caption “Kuch to log kahenge logo ka kaam hai kehna but always #love #travel”, possibly anticipating the backlash he would receive for the photo.
Meanwhile, Mohammed Shami was trolled for sharing photos of his daughter Aairah’s second birthday, where his wife was seen without a hijab.
There were several comments on the picture, which read,
Sad to see your wife without hijab. My dear shami sir do not look at the smallness of the sin, rather look at the one whom you are disobeying.... #GoToHell
and...
Drown in shame,,,,,,,,,,Are you Muslim, I don,t think so you,re Muslim...Islam can,t allow you to celebrate Birthday in that fashion, (sic)
This is not the first time that Shami has been trolled for sharing pictures of his wife and child. Earlier in 2016, Shami had shut down trolls through social media by saying:
Very good morning. Har kisi ko jindagi mai mukam ni milta, kuch kismat wale hi hote hai jinhe ye nasib hota hai.! jalteee rahooooo… Ye dono meri zindage or life partner hai me acha trha janta hu kiya karna hai kiya nahi. hame apne andar dekhna chahiye ham kitne acche hai.
