We know Valentine’s Day is associated with love, gifts, heart-shaped balloons, pink and red clothes, teddy bears and what not. But in India, there is another thing, or rather an extremist organisation, associated with Valentine’s Day.
We are talking about the Bajrang Dal, the youth wing of VHP. They go around in small and big towns targeting couples on Valentine’s Day. No points for guessing what their blackmail method is. They click pictures of couples making out and even record it on camera. There have been incidents of people getting beaten up for expressing PDA. To top it all, they have even warned to marry off couples if they catch anyone venturing into public places.
