Commuter Dyuti Sudipta claims to have overheard a conversation between two men complaining about an overcrowded men’s compartment in the metro and comparing it to how empty the women’s compartment is.

According to her Facebook post she said a ‘badass’ aunty came to the rescue of women all over India by giving them some much needed gyaan.

Two men were whining over the unused and extra seats saved for women on metros and most forms of public transport.

Dekh ladies coach poora khali hai. Idhar side itna bhara hua hai, par fir bhi hume wahan jaake baithna allowed nahin hai. Khali padi hui hain seatein.

Roughly translated, man number 1 says:

Look, the ladies coach is completely empty. Our coach is completely full but still, we aren’t allowed to go and sit there. All the seats are empty.

Then comes out man number 2, who agrees wholeheartedly with his grumbling friend.

Haan yaar. Dekh, poora coach de rakha hai unko, wo bharti hain nahin, upar se humare coach mein bhi do do seatein de rakhi hain, hum baith gaye to utha diye jaate hain, bhale poora unka coach khali pada ho.

Ah, the joys of complaining men. His alleged dialogue roughly translates to say:

Yes, dude. Look, they’ve given them the entire coach. It doesn’t get full and above that our coach has two seats, if we sit then they make us get up even if their (women’s) coach is empty.

Aunty to the Rescue

This is when our badass aunty allegedly comes into play. She shuts down the two men by telling them what women in this era have to face on a daily basis.

True or not, we enjoyed this conversation and really hope people learn a lesson or two from our latest superhero, Badass Aunty. Read the Facebook post below:

Approximately translated, the fiery aunty said:

“You people are not letting girls be born, my child. And even when they are born, you don’t let them read or write, and stop them from going out with all your might. Stop doing these things – female foeticide, drowning them in milk, stopping them from exploring the world. The women will then fill up not only the seats in the metro, my dear, but they’ll also fill up offices, playgrounds, and everything. But that is precisely what scares you, isn’t it? Isn’t that right, my dear?”
