The popularity of B-Town celebs is now not only judged by their box office successes but also by their social media presence.

Bollywood’s top-performing celebs on social media – Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, and Shah Rukh Khan – are now close to reaching 40 million followers on Twitter.

We got in touch with Twitter to find their most popular tweets, and here they are!

Followers: 38.3 M

Amongst the four celebrities King Khan is the closest to the 40-million mark, with 38.3 million followers. Most of his activity centres around his children, especially AbRam, and his wife, Gauri Khan. SRK also engages with fans regularly on Twitter through several AMAs (ask-me-anything).

Coming second by a very close margin is Big B with 37.3 million followers. But, as far as the regularity of tweets are concerned, Amitabh Bachchan is unbeatable with 64.6K tweets.

His tweets are extremely organised and well though out. All of them are numbered and usually whenever he tweets out a line of a poem or any philosophical thought they are always accompanied with an English translation. So that his tweets cater to all audiences.
