After months of back and forth over the Aadhaar ID, the Supreme Court said the Aadhaar ID is constitutionally valid, but WAIT! There’s more -

Aadhaar not mandatory for mobile connections.

Aadhaar not mandatory for opening of bank accounts, etc.

But, Aadhaar is necessary when applying for a PAN card.

So, after all that has been said and done, who needs Aadhaar and for what?

Who all need to get Aadhaar?
- People who have to file income tax returns.
- People who want to avail Government subsidies.

Who don't need to get Aadhaar?
- Kids. If they got it before turning 18, they can opt out. But if they file taxes or get subsidies after, they're back in.
