6-Year-Old Who Wants to be a Cop Calls 911 on His Dad

The Quincy Police department put up an audio clip of Robbie’s complaint on its Facebook page on Wednesday.

Red meant stop, yellow meant go slow, green meant go. And Officer Robbie Richardson wasn’t going to make light of the rules.

His father had just driven past a red light, when he was meant to hault, so like any guardian of law, this six-year-old called 911 as soon as he got back home.

Little Robbie who wants to be a cop when he grows up has learnt traffic rules in his kindergarten and knows the important of the number 9-1-1 as it’s written on the side of his toy car.

“What’s your emergency?” the 911 dispatcher asked him.“Um…Daddy went past a red light.” “Then what happened?” the dispatcher prodded.“And then we just, and we had to go to the car wash and then he went past the red light,” Robbie said matter of factly. 

According to The Washington Post, Although the sassy 6-year-old had threatened to call 911 right when his father drove past the red light, his father told him that he didn’t break any laws.

But the dutiful little Robbie was not entirely convinced.
