Noblemen, a tale of bullying in boarding schools, starring Kunal Kapoor and directed by Vandana Kataria is getting rave reviews from Day 1 of its release.
The movie, inspired by the Merchant of Venice and produced under the banner of Yoodle Films released on 28th June 2019.
It is set up in a prestigious all boys' boarding school, where unwritten codes of hierarchy are practiced by the boys.
The coming-of-age drama film mirrors the most difficult, brutal truths about bullying and points out the sinister ways in which it can take shape.

Although the climax is implausible, director Kataria’s ability to create a deeply felt and non-glamorous portrait of boarding school life is rarely in doubt. Kunaal Kapoor is perfectly adequate as the well-meaning teacher whose unconventional ways have unforeseen consequences. The movie’s star performer is Ali Haji, who turns out an acutely sensitive performance as Shay. Noblemen addresses school bullying head on – and gives a very graphic picture of just how brutal it can get. And the psychological impact it can eventually have on one’s mind. It also tackles confusion about one’s sexual orientation, homophobia and the pressure to fit in.
