Ten-year-old Diya clearly stole the show at the fag end of day 1 at Delhi Comic Con 2017, when they confidently held the mic on the stage and demanded everyone to ‘be better people’ or they would have to use their superpowers to straighten up the bad guys.
Bollywood in Cosplay
In spite of the fact that Day 1 was a weekday (Friday) with schools, colleges and offices open, the turnout was decent at Delhi Comic Con.
But with the majority of professional cosplayers saving their best looks for the last two days of the three-day extravaganza, not many elaborate cosplays could be spotted.
No Optimus Prime, DOTA, or Chewbacca stuff.
What did catch our attention was a rare Bollywood-inspired cosplay. And no it wasn’t Kkrish. It was PK, from Aamir Khan’s blockbuster of the same name.
Adam Shefferman, an expat in Delhi, not only sported the look but he got 'Aamir’s dialogues from the movie right to the T.
Besides that, Deadpool was clearly the favourite among Delhi cosplayers next only to the Joker from DC, with around five of them doing the rounds through the day.
Guess there is no such thing as too much Deadpool humour.
Wonder Woman Is For Everyone, Gender No Bar
If there was one takeaway from Day 1 of the convention at Delhi, it has to be this: Everyone loves Wonder Woman. Not just admire the character, but people want to be her, actually.
The cut-out of WonderWoman outside one of the comics booth saw a horde of fans standing before it, all taking turns to click photos with Wonder Woman, and as Wonder Woman.
Be it a girl in her early teens, or a guy fresh out of college, everyone stuck their face in the cut-out, got their pictures clicked, and shared it on the social media.
Next to that, the Superman cut out remained a ‘guy only’ thing.

Internet, Where Art Thou?
If you live your life on social media, and staying online is as necessary to you as breathing, then you better carry your personal hotspot at the Comic Con venue on Day 2.
Even with Vodafone apparently installing reception boosters on the venue near their Super Zoo Zoo both, getting devices online was a collective fail.
Just how many selfies were being clicked and set to upload that it caused a network jam?
Of course that didn’t stop people from begging, borrowing and stealing (read: carelessly left-open WiFi hotspots) their way to online mode.
Not From A Galaxy Far Far Away: 3D Dome Was Lit AF
Delhi Comic Con had a lot of cool stuff from the experiential entertainment world including a Star Wars booth, but what took the cake was the 360-degree experiential dome that allowed you to immerse yourself in the world of Mahabharata Gods & Heroes. Not the epic, the digital comic.
