The Internet’s favourite dancing diva Dytto recently came to India and burned up the Dance Plus 3 stage as she grooved to ‘Tip Tip Barsa Paani’. After wooing the judges and the audience alike, her presence also made this video go viral.
Impressive dance, right? What do you think the Internet had to say to that? Praises, accolades, cheers of ‘encore’? Come on, of course not. It’s the internet.

So, What Started This Troll War?
After reading through the entire comment section, while we can’t pin point one a specific trigger, most of the anti-India hate comments arose from the international fans of Dytto misunderstanding the judge’s funny gag routine on the stage, which involved celebrity dancer Raghav pretending to hit on Dytto. It was a scripted routine on their part, which Dytto seemed to have also taken part in.
Yes. A harmless gag routine got the men called ‘rapists’ in the comment section, with people sharing extremely racist data/news reports that paint all Indian men as rapists.
The trolls also claimed that a talent such as Dytto was wasted on an Indian show and insulted the show’s judges for not being able to ‘match up to her.’
Do you think ‘Bharat-lovers’ took it sitting down? Nope. They came back with equally vulgar insults.
The cross-fire of hateful commentary also didn’t spare the talent. Angry Indians dissed Dytto as mediocre and even came down to her lack of ‘sanskar,’ for dancing in skimpy clothes.
While the back and forth definitely colored the entire comment section, luckily there were a few sane voices as well.
As this never-ending wall of hate continues to grow higher, what is the solution to resolve it? One user wanted to go the nuclear option.
